- Understanding Price Time Relationships
- A number of commonly-used analysis techniques assume a fixed geometric relationship between price and time, including various Gann, and Fibonacci techniques, the Fischer Ellipse, and the Wormald Triangle. In an advanced charting system such as BullCharts, where the vertical scale of the chart can be easily changed (and hence the slope of trendlines), special care needs to be taken with these techniques so that they yield reliable information. This document outlines issues to be aware of when using these techniques, and how BullCharts "Lock Scale Ratio" feature can be used to overcome problems.
